Summits On The Air

Well as alot of you reading this will know is I cant spell. Also you may understand I dont do Sota ( Summits On The Air ) alot. Well I do like to have fun and make the most of my time so here goes.

I had a Diesel engine to collect from Barrow in Furness which is North west of my Location 1083WW. I thought well if I am going up that way why not spend some time in the lakes and make a short break of it. So with this in mind and speaking to one or two ppl I thought why not go do The old man of coniston, I have been before and its good to stay over night in the car park...I have the camper now not the landy.... Wife has a 110 so no need to have 2 landys....lol Enter Project 2 Renault trafic Autosleeper. Anyhow thats for a new page...

Talking to Geoff G6MZX ( Well known on Sota ) he said why not do Red Scree and Stoney cove pike because they are both within reach of the same car park.... So we headed for KirkStone Pass Inn. I set off from my village and drove to Skipton down the road from my home QTH. 6miles...TBP In Skipton I put £20 of that expensive stuff we never see but we put it in.....the tank and set off to Horton In Ribblesdale looking up at Pen Y Gent another popular Sota Summit. I collected my mate Ban and we set off on our Road Trip.....
